25Ltr Vessel Containment Sump Units

These economical vessel containment sump units are moulded from 100% recycled polypropylene and provide practical secondary containment for 25 litre drums and vessels.

The range is available in five product variations, with drum capacity ranging from two 25 litre drums right through to 16 drums. Each tray is designed to hold up to 120 litres of any spillages.

Oil and other liquid spills are most likely to occur during the transfer of liquid from one container to another, or when working with machinery or vehicles. These containment sumps are designed to catch spillages and hold them in a safe and secure way.

3. Requirements for storage of oil - general

(1) Oil shall be stored in a container which is of sufficient strength and structural integrity to ensure that it is unlikely to burst or leak in its ordinary use.

(2) The container must be situated within a secondary system which satisfies the following requirements -

(a) subject to paragraph (5), it must have a capacity of not less than 110% of the container’s storage capacity or, if there is more than one container within the system, of not less than 110% of the largest container’s storage capacity or 25% of their aggregate storage capacity, whichever is the greater.
