Oil/Fuel Filter Disposal

Oil/Fuel Filter Disposal

HazExperts can dispose of your waste oil filters and fuel filters through a simple and economical disposal service. All filters must be kept within their own waste stream: oil filters together and fuel filters together. Oil filters and fuel filters must not be mixed.

We can dispose of these filters in various containers. Simply select the container you have from the list below when placing your order.

If you already have a container ready for collection, we can bring a replacement when we collect your waste. Simply make a note of this in the notes section at checkout.

If you require a container for the service to begin, please browse our container store here.

  • This service is limited to a TOTAL VEHICLE WEIGHT of 1200kg.
  • Transport Charges Added At Checkout.

The Importance of Proper Filter Disposal

Used oil and fuel filters can contain hazardous residues, so correct disposal is important for protecting the environment. When disposing of these filters, you must follow local regulations and guidelines to prevent soil and water contamination.

Many regions require that filters be treated as hazardous waste, requiring specific disposal methods. Therefore, always check your local disposal regulations and make sure you comply with all requirements to protect the environment.

Recycling Oil Filters

Recycling oil filters is not only environmentally friendly, but it also allows for the recovery of valuable materials. By recycling, you not only reduce waste but also help conserve natural resources, making recycling a smart choice for responsible individuals.

Steps for Safe Oil Filter Disposal

  1. Allow the filter to drain completely for at least 12 hours; this reduces the amount of oil that may leak during transport.
  2. Place the used filter in a plastic bag inside a sealed container to prevent leakage.
  3. Take the container to an approved hazardous waste collection point.
