Drain Cover / Drain Seals

These drain covers are designed to help seal roadside drains during a spill response. Manufactured from black neoprene rubber, they provide an effective temporary drain seal when applied flat to the drain surface.

ADR requirement

Vehicles carrying dangerous goods of classes 3, 4.1, 4.3, 8 and 9 are required to carry one drain seal per vehicle.

Available sizes

• Regular drain cover: 0.6 metres x 0.8 metres. Supplied in a postal tube measuring 685mm long, with a total weight of 1.1kg.
• Large drain cover: 1 metre x 1 metre. Supplied in a postal tube measuring 1070mm long, with a total weight of 1.34kg.

Supplied rolled for reliable use

Neoprene rubber works best as a drain seal when it is flat against the drain surface. Drain seals that have been folded for long periods may not unfold easily and may split along the fold lines, especially where there are multiple folds.

For this reason, HazExperts supplies these drain seals rolled in cardboard tubes, helping to keep them ready for use while also providing a practical method of storage and transportation.

Each drain seal is supplied complete with instructions for use. The drain seals can also be used in conjunction with a spill kit to help contain and clear away a spillage.
