Due to growth, HazExperts have the requirement for a 3.5t van driver to work out of our Rugby office.
About The Position:
It takes a special kind of person to collect waste - the job can be demanding at times, requiring you to do manual handling and maybe even getting a little dirty. Two days are rarely the same within the waste industry, one day you could be collecting pallets from a warehouse and the next you could be collecting fridges and electrical equipment from an airport. If you are a hard worker, with a can do attitude and also have good attention to detail whilst maintaining the highest level of health and safety - then this could be the job for you and you could be just the person we are looking for.
Duties to include:
- Collecting waste from customer sites across the country and transporting either back to our base in Rugby or to external disposal sites in the UK
- Delivering new containers and vessels to our customers
- Collecting urgent packages and delivering them direct to their destination
- Usually no more than 3-7 collections per day
Requirements:
- Be over 25 (For Insurance Purposes)
- Hold a FULL, CLEAN UK Driving licence for at least 3 years
- Have MINIMUM 1 years commercial driving experience
- Have the unrestricted right to work and remain in the UK
- Be able to speak, read and understand English fluently
Hours & Pay:
- 0800hrs-1630hrs Monday to Friday with 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak
- Flat 40hrs per week even if you finish early
- £9.55 - £10.00 per hour with pay reviewed every 6 months
All required PPE and uniform will be provided by HazExperts upon successful completion of a trial period
