9KG Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher

This 9kg ABC dry powder fire extinguisher is manufactured in the European Union to the requirements of BS EN3 and is CE marked. It is quality kitemark certified to BS EN3 and is designed for stored pressure use.

ABC powder extinguishers are suitable for use on Class A, B and C fires in offices, commercial premises and industrial premises. They are highly effective against petrol and volatile liquids, making them well suited to vehicle protection.

ADR Fire Extinguisher Requirement

ADR requirement: fire extinguishers are required in all vehicles carrying dangerous goods.

All vehicles carrying any quantity of dangerous goods, other than dangerous goods packed as Limited Quantities, must carry a minimum of one 2kg fire extinguisher.

If the vehicle is carrying a dangerous goods load greater than that allowed under the small load concessions — zero kilo TC 0, 25 kilo TC 1, 333 kilo TC 2 and 1,000 kilo TC 3 — the required quantity of fire extinguishers depends on the size of the vehicle:

• Less than 3.5 tonne: 2 x 2kg extinguishers
• 3.5 tonne to 7.5 tonne: 1 x 2kg extinguisher and 1 x 6kg extinguisher
• Greater than 7.5 tonne: a total of 12kg, of which one extinguisher must be at least 6kg

These quantities are the minimum requirements.
